Monte Gordo is a big city, equipped with wide streets spectacular. The tall buildings of apartments and hotels are characteristic features in the landscape but they do not change the perception of the city because it is very high and very tight. The main road in Monte Gordo, separate from the rest of the town beach and promenade. On the city side of the road are lined several shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and is located on the opposite side alley with benches and palm trees and golden sand beach in front of it defasoara. The beach is equipped with numerous bars, restaurants and chiscuri serving various needs of tourists. The beach is ideal for children is very wide and very warm and calm water, is excellent for swimming.
The city center is also very spacious, with wide streets and flat paved areas. To get here you only need to stick to the main road and go along on one side streets. The city has an abundance of places where you can drink or eat with large outdoor terraces. Because this area at the end of the Algarve is very flat, you can easily practice running or biking, Monte Gordo with many places where you can rent a bike.
Monte Gordo offers many things to do if you quit at the beach. There are several nearby golf courses, water sports of all kinds, jeep safari to the lakes area with boat trips along the Guadiana river. Otherwise there are many places to explore around town, the most sought after being Cacela Velha, a painted village houses, set around a church.
